This fast is a great way to ease into fasting or for diabetics to experience all the great benefits of fasting while still eating small amounts of good nutrients to avoid blood sugar crashes.

Many studies have found that doing a 5 day fast once a month for 3 months is like hitting the reset button on your body - even revitalizing pancreatic cells, boosting/recharging the immune and endocrine systems and helping stabilize blood sugars.

During these 5 days, it is recommended to intermittent fast and start close to noon with any eating and stopping by 6. Calories should be limited to less than 600 with less than 20 grams of protein and limited to fruits, vegetables and nut butters only.

No grains, No caffeine, No animal products, No sugar, No processed foods

BREAKFAST

Skip breakfast, drink lots of water, if you really need something to eat, try an apple with or without a couple tablespoons of almond butter.

You may add lemon or other fruits/veggies to water to flavor it.

LUNCH

DINNER

Things to Keep in Mind.

It is best to have fish or non-animal proteins, high healthy fats- nuts, avocadoes, coconut oil, etc for a couple days prior to a fast and then very low carb without animal products the day before a fast to prepare your body.

When coming out of a fast, increase in complex carbs, may add beans into diet but stick to whole foods the day after and then keep up with healthy, clean eating to keep your toxins low!

Fasting has been likened to brushing teeth - it keeps your insides healthy and clean!
