Leigh Ann Isenhower anp
Leigh Ann has been an Adult Nurse Practitioner for over 10 years. Her prior experience was in internal medicine, chronic care management and population health. Currently, she is training and practicing functional medicine. She believes the best healthcare approach involves addressing nutritional, physical and spiritual deficits. Foundationally, she believes we were each created uniquely and should have an equally matched unique approach to our health.
She resides in Culpeper with her husband and three daughters. She spends her time homeschooling her children, cooking and enjoying the outdoors. When her youngest daughter was born with a rare, incurable metabolic condition, Leigh Ann began searching for an approach to healthcare that addressed foundational issues more than the traditional medicine she was formerly practicing. She holds a Christian worldview and Leigh Ann believes serving God’s purpose in her life is her biggest priority.
Practically, Leigh Ann sees adults and teens over the age of 13. Her interest and experience are with chronic conditions, specifically cardiometabolic conditions. She believes gut health is a principal concern for many people and will work to understand the root of your health concerns while addressing modifiable factors. Plan to spend at least one to one and a half hours with Leigh Ann on your first visit

Candace Ireland fnp
As a Family Nurse Practitioner with a nursing career spanning over two decades, I bring diverse knowledge to our functional/integrative medicine clinic. My journey in healthcare began in 2002. Since then, I have gained experience in multiple specialized fields, including the operating room, inpatient post-operative, renal/metabolic, neuroscience telemetry, and oncology/stem cell transplant care, outpatient radiation oncology, utilization review (administrative documentation review and insurance authorizations) as well as several student nurse practitioner rotations at Libertas. I am also passionate about and involved in patient and nursing advocacy through the Virginia Nurses Association, currently serving as the Piedmont Government Relations chair. This rich background has instilled in me a deep understanding of the intricacies of healthcare delivery across various settings.
My passion for holistic wellness has led me to extensive personal studies in nutrition, movement, sleep, and stress management, recognizing the profound impact these elements have on our well-being. I wholeheartedly believe that practitioners should come alongside patients to assist them in achieving a state of balance encompassing physical, emotional, and spiritual harmony. Moreover, I recognize that the definition of wellness and the pathway to health varies uniquely for each individual. I am dedicated to empowering patients on their unique healing journeys by integrating conventional medicine with evidence-based holistic practices, fostering comprehensive wellness.
Beyond my professional roles, I am a devoted Christ-follower, wife to John, and mother of four children, actively homeschooling two of them. I enjoy hiking and camping in nature's beauty, the thrill of travel, and delving into culinary artistry through culturing and fermenting foods. Tending to my garden and indoor jungle is a therapeutic escape and source of delight, as is curling up with a rich novel and a lovely cup of tea. My dedication to holistic well-being extends to every facet of life, aligning seamlessly with my passions and beliefs. Alongside my professional endeavors and familial commitments, I am steadfast in pursuing comprehensive wellness. I am excited to share this philosophy with our clinic’s patients, nurturing health on all fronts.

Bethanie Mintz fnp
Bethanie is a proud Virginia native who earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from George Mason University in 2002. She began her career as an Emergency Room nurse, serving patients for a decade before joining Kaiser, where she spent another ten years as an advice nurse. Seeking a new direction, Bethanie became a birth assistant for midwives, supporting out-of-hospital births for the past eleven years while pursuing her Family Nurse Practitioner degree.
Bethanie values the strengths of Western medicine but believes that pharmaceuticals and interventions are often used too quickly. She is passionate about exploring the healing power of nutritious foods, herbs, and homeopathics—gifts she believes God has provided for our well-being.
A devoted follower of Christ, Bethanie is also a loving wife and the mother of eight children. She homeschools seven of her children and brings a unique perspective as the mother of a severely disabled child, two adopted children, and two stillborn sons. These profound life experiences have deepened her compassion and guide her approach to healthcare, community service, and hospitality.
