IV Iron Support for Lab-Guided Iron Deficiency Care
Venofer is an intravenous iron sucrose therapy used to help replenish iron stores in appropriate patients. Iron is essential for healthy red blood cell production, oxygen transport, energy, and overall vitality.
At Libertas Integrative Health, Venofer IV therapy is offered only when clinically appropriate and guided by provider review, symptoms, labs, and medical history.
What Venofer IV Therapy May Support
Venofer IV therapy may be considered for patients with iron deficiency concerns related to:
- Low ferritin or iron stores
- Iron deficiency anemia
- Heavy menstrual bleeding
- Blood loss history
- Poor tolerance of oral iron
- Malabsorption or digestive limitations
- Chronic health conditions affecting iron status
What to Expect
Before receiving Venofer, your provider will review your labs and determine whether IV iron is appropriate. Labs may include ferritin, iron, transferrin saturation, CBC, and other markers.
During treatment, Venofer is administered intravenously in a monitored clinical setting. Some patients require a series of infusions to restore iron levels safely and steadily.
Who May Be a Good Fit?
Venofer may be appropriate for patients with documented iron deficiency or iron deficiency anemia who are not responding well to oral iron, cannot tolerate oral iron, or need provider-guided iron repletion.
Before You Schedule
Venofer should not be used without lab review. Too much iron can be harmful. Patients with iron overload, hemochromatosis, active infection, or prior reactions to IV iron should tell our team before scheduling.
